Humans of Walton 2010: Matt Shaw
Navigating adulthood one race car, helicopter and chicken nugget at a time 🏎️
"How has a decade already gone by since we walked across the stage accepting a diploma and feeling like we were on the path to being adults?! Update: I am still trying to find out what adulthood means and how to find a true career. I’m still eating chicken nuggets and Mac & Cheese. I’m still juggling jobs from family business, professional race car instructor, helicopter pilot, and side projects in between. In the end, trying to see what puzzle pieces truly fit. Looking thru old high school photos really put the 'easier days' in perspective...when you were only focused on who you would hang out with on the weekend or a web-Wednesday. Look forward to the reunion, Cheers!" — Matt Shaw
Here’s how to participate in our photo project, Humans of Walton 2010:
Find a photo of yourself from senior year AND a photo of yourself now. Feel free to pick photos with or without families, partners, pets, plants, photos of you in your work attire etc. Just make it wholesome please lol
Come up with a few sentences (or a paragraph) of a life update. Where are you now? What are you up to? Feel free to include a Walton memory if you like, but no pressure.
Then attach the photos in an email and send them over to walton2010reunion@gmail.com with your first and last name in the subject box!
ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS ON A ROLLING BASIS!
We’ll be sharing these on our Facebook page and on this newsletter as they come in and hope it gives us all a chance to hear from each other and connect after all these years.
As always, if anyone’s interested in being part of reunion programming and planning, shoot us an email at walton2010reunion@gmail.com letting us know what you think you could help out with. Things are obviously hectic and up in the air right now, but your input is welcome.
