Humans of Walton 2010: Jackie (Gledhill) Barnett
Your friendly neighborhood cancer-fighting forensic scientist 🔎
“Since leaving Walton, I have graduated from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!), became a forensic scientist and have beaten colon cancer! After staying in Mississippi for almost nine years, my husband (Carter) and I moved to Birmingham, Alabama last summer for his residency in pediatrics. I am currently working at the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences as a forensic scientist specializing in drug chemistry.” — Jackie (Gledhill) Barnett
Here’s how to participate in our photo project, Humans of Walton 2010:
Find a photo of yourself from senior year AND a photo of yourself now. Feel free to pick photos with or without families, partners, pets, plants, photos of you in your work attire etc. Just make it wholesome please lol
Come up with a few sentences (or a paragraph) of a life update. Where are you now? What are you up to? Feel free to include a Walton memory if you like, but no pressure.
Then attach the photos in an email and send them over to walton2010reunion@gmail.com with your first and last name in the subject box!
ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS ON A ROLLING BASIS!
We’ll be sharing these on our Facebook page and on this newsletter as they come in and hope it gives us all a chance to hear from each other and connect after all these years.
As always, if anyone’s interested in being part of reunion programming and planning, shoot us an email at walton2010reunion@gmail.com letting us know what you think you could help out with. Things are obviously hectic and up in the air right now, but your input is welcome.
